Precambrian Time 4.6 BYA-544 MYA
The Precambrian Time was from the beginning of Earths history till 544 MYA, and some call it “The beginning of Time” or “The Age of Early Life”. The climate varied often. Some periods it was cold and snowy all the time, but then others were very warm and humid. The Precambrian Time had many other cool things about it. If we looked at the continents and landforms during the Precambrian Time right now they would look very unfamiliar. During the Precambrian time all the continents were all together in a supercontinent called Pannotia. Pannotia was in between the Panthalassic Ocean and the Pan African Ocean. There weren’t many changes to landforms, but one change was the water vapor from the air turning into rain. The rain went into trenches, and after billions of years the Oceans were created. There wasn't much action on changes to living things, but there were a few. The first living organism appeared and was microscopic bacteria. Also the first multicelled animal appeared 600 MYA as Ediacarans. There were also few plants that existed. There was only 1 change to plants. The change was that the bacteria used photosynthesis to become simple plants plants such as algae. Soon all these living things became extinct because of what happened at the end of the Era. At the end of the era there was an extinction called the Vendian extinction. The Vendian extinction caused sea level and oxygen levels to change and wipe out living things. Another reason for extinction was the global ice age at the end of the Era. This era was full of beginnings of living things, but also ends.
